CACDP offers an online Directory of the following registered Language Service Professionals (LSPs):

  • BSL/English Interpreters
  • Lipspeakers
  • Speech to Text Reporters
  • LSPs - Deafblind Manual
  • Electronic or Manual Notetakers

However, we do not provide a booking service.

To subscribe to the online directory, please complete the order form, and return to CACDP.

If you simply want to check whether someone is registered, you can do so free by viewing ‘LSP name and status’.

The Directory is regularly updated and provides details of registered LSPs who choose to advertise, for you to make a booking.

Details shown are:

  • Contact address
  • Telephone number(s)
  • E-mail address
  • Catchment Area
  • Availability (weekdays,     evening, weekends)
  • Additional relevant                       qualifications (e.g. language     and communication,     professional, specialist     professional)

  • Employment (status and     employer - if relevant)
  • Membership of relevant     professional organisations
  • Domains (and sub-domains)     in which willing to undertake     assignments
  • Domains (and sub-domains)     in which not willing to take     assisgnments


You can also view the person's:

  • Registration type and     category
  • Means of achieving that     registration category (MRSLI     only)
  • Region(s) where they are     willing to work
  • Training and qualification     achieved
  • Additional registration     information (CRB and PII)

Important!

Only CACDP's online directory contains details of LSPs who have met the national standards for their profession (as a result of achieving recognised qualifications) and have agreed to be subject to a Code of Professional Practice and Disciplinary Procedure.
